Resolving “The server fault ‘SystemError’ had no message” when doing “Edit Settings” on a VM converted from a Template

When i was trying to edit a VM converted from a template on vCenter 4.1, i stumbled upon the following error:

It can resolved by following these steps:

– Shutdown the VM

– Right click the VM and select Remove from Inventory.

– Go to the Datastore Browser and look for your VM you just removed.  Right-click the .vmx file and select Add to Inventory.

– Follow the wizard to add it to the same place as it was before.

Problem solved!
